Maternal–Placental Research Biobank

Registration Status: Completed
Objective:

This biobank aims to collect, store, and curate blood, urine, and placental tissue samples from women with uncomplicated pregnancies and those affected by pregnancy complications, including preeclampsia, fetal growth restriction, and gestational diabetes mellitus. The biobank will support multi-omics analyses to identify and validate biomarkers associated with disease onset, progression, and severity. It will enable investigation of temporal relationships between circulating, urinary, and placental biomarkers and their association with placental dysfunction and adverse maternal and fetal outcomes, supporting translational research to improve early diagnosis and pregnancy care.
