Objective:

To facilitate in-depth research into factors affecting healthy ageing using the 45 and Up Study collaborative resource to give government’s reliable evidence to underpin sustainable policy and services delivery. Research questions include: What are the protective and causal factors for healthy and unhealthy ageing? What are effective models of care for people as they age? What are the causal links between environmental and lifestyle exposures and health outcomes including services use, morbidity and mortality? What are the genetic and environmental contributions of common diseases?
