Stroke

Certification Status: Invite Member
Registration Status: Completed
Objective:

Broad range of risk factors are associated with stroke. Accurate and timely prediction of stroke is challenging even after considering several traditional and emerging risk factors. The goal of the STROKE Biobank (currently at Planning stage) is to collect and store store bio-specimens related to stroke and to make available to the scientific community bio-specimens (blood) and data for major projects on Stroke.  Innovative research with bio-specimens of the Biobank could possibly allows for the identification of additional risk factors and may eventually help to prevent the development of this condition, improve the screening and treatment methods, and to lessen its after effects.
