Objective:

We propose to establish a Biobank at Nepean Hospital to support future research specific to an Intensive Care patient population. The goal of this facility is to collect, store and distribute biospecimens and their associated clinical data to researchers investigating conditions, disease processes, and other phenomena experienced by patients who are critically ill. The objectives of the NICB are: • To collect biological and clinical data from the Nepean Intensive Care patient population • To provide biospecimens with the necessary quality to conduct cutting-edge research
